1. Consultation + Booking

Your free consultation is a great time to discuss any ideas or concerns you might have. It's a chance for us to get to know you so we can serve you best. A sitting fee of $150 is due to secure your booking. This fee includes your session and a stunning matted fine art portrait for you to keep.

2. Your Portrait Session

Outdoors

Outdoor sessions are best done in the early morning or just before sunset for the most flattering light. If you have young children, autumn and winter are ideal for family portraits as the sun sets earlier and you won't need to keep them up past bedtime. There are many beautiful parks available in the Auckland area, our favourites include Wenderholm Regional Park, Shakespear Regional Park, Orewa Beach, and Mahurangi Regional Park.

In-Studio

Our home studio is designed for your comfort and convenience. We are located in Orewa, just 30 minutes north of the Auckland CBD.  The studio has a range of backdrops, props, and a small client wardrobe to add to your session experience. For newborns, we have outfits, pacifiers, baskets, blankets, and a wahakura. Snacks, wifi, and a coffee machine are available for your use.

Our studio is upstairs, please advise if you need special assistance. Inclusion is very important to us, and we will do everything in our power to accommodate any additional needs.

3. Ordering Appointment

This is when you get to view your photographs and choose which ones you'd love to purchase. We'll help you choose artwork that will look beautiful in your home, and discuss any retouching requests you may have. The ordering appointment takes place within a week of your session, and this can happen in our Orewa studio or over Zoom. If your portrait session is in studio, you can complete your ordering appointment 30 minutes after your session.
